I currently work in the research and development engineering field with emphasis on embedded control systems. While my education and training are mainly electrical engineering related, I couldn't resist the thrill of software development, especially for embedded systems. For the programming aspect, C/C++ and python are my programming languages of choice, but I'm always learning. After completing my MSEE degree, my primary focus was to obtain a position that would allow me continue learning. College simply teaches you how to learn and it became apparent that I'd only be happy in a role that grants me the freedom to research and build solutions to problems. The satisfaction and pride that comes from seeing a product you helped develop in the field makes it worthwhile. After all, that's why we become engineers! My latest challenges have included RGB LED color mixing in an outdoor application. At first glance, the problem seems trivial, set calibration targets were done. However, once the physical properties of the LEDs are examined, a simple control strategy will not suffice. That's where the fun begins!
