Inside Sales Specialist

Deer Park, Wa & Aberdeen, Sd

At the beginning of the 2019-20 school year, I started my role as the primary inside sales specialist for World Classrooms. Initially, my primary responsibility was to convert families who were not able to attend our parent meetings to learn about their school’s upcoming Washington, D.C. trip and families that did not complete their enrollment forms at the parent meeting into reserved travelers. The average cost for a student is $2,000. The average cost for an adult is $2,400.In the beginning, there was no process. I was part of the team that designed the sales process for the various types of prospects. The process took elements of what was done at WC prior to me stepping into this position as well as elements of my prior inside sales experiences. Utilizing the process we created, I averaged over six enrollments per work day in a 16 week timeframe, totaling over $1 million in potential revenue.I also took on the responsibility of researching, interviewing and identifying phone and text system companies that would be a good for for World Classrooms going forward as we were swiftly outgrowing our prior software solutions. I interviewed over 30 companies in total. From my research, I submitted proposals for two phone system companies and three text system companies. At this time, a text system company has been selected based on my proposal and we are waiting on moving forward with a different phone system company for now.

Admissions Director

Deer Park, Wa & Aberdeen, Sd

My role as an Admissions Director was slightly different from my teammates in a similar role. Initially, I spent my days researching elementary school principals. From there, I began calling their schools to connect with them to build relationships. You can only work at the speed of trust so my goal was to build a relationship of trust so the principal would allow my teammates to visit their school to give a three-minute presentation at their upcoming staff meeting.Additionally, I spent most of 2019 calling middle schools throughout the Midwest and South to prospect them before my teammates walked into the schools. My main goal was to gauge if the school had a DC trip already. I then built out our database in Asana to reflect my findings so my teammates had some basic information before they visited a school. After building the database in Asana, I added the summary of my findings for each school to our custom Google Map so there would be a visual representation of the status of each perspective school.
