The latest achievement was to join The Hessian Center for Artificial Intelligence (hessian.AI) as a research associate fostering the connection between hessian.AI and the DUAS. My tasks are diverse and well-balanced, from AI consulting activities, bringing in my own expertise, to the coordination of hessian.AI activities and tasks for the remaining DUAS hessian.AI members. The Hessian Center for Artificial Intelligence is where smart minds think of the AI of tomorrow and is the right place for further academic growth. I am thankful that I can work with so many talented and smart people.hessian.AI grows my network of talented scientists and is a great place to discuss the latest scientific novelties and ideas for potential upcoming applied AI applications.

As a senior research associate, I held my own courses at the DUAS on the topics of AI-based fault diagnosis and visual analytics for smart manufacturing. I actively invited the contribution of other PhD candidates to create the most profound course on the subject, with the latest scientific advancements. With my courses, I was able to shape the vision of potential young scientists who may deliver solutions to the problems of tomorrow. Additionally, with the VIS research group and under the lead of Prof. Dr. Kawa Nazemi, I held courses at the Technical University of Darmstadt on visual analytics in smart manufacturing. Furthermore, I also held AI introductory courses for non-IT professions.Through my expertise in the field of AI, fault diagnosis, Industry 4.0, and smart factories in general, I got invited to function as a reviewer for various renowned international journals and conferences. Through my international publications and exchanges at conferences, I was able to form a great network of talented minds that I can consult on any challenging topic to find potential solutions to severe problems.

Thanks to our great work, the Research Center of Applied Computer Science became persistent and a permanent organizational unit at the DUAS this year. During the procedure, I was glad to become the new manager of the Research Center for Applied Computer Science. With the novel board of directors, I help shape the research environment at the DUAS and reduce the daily obstacles to research. Aside from my personal promotion to manager, we have established deep procedures and cleared the way from previously shallowly described corporate processes to help our colleagues conduct prestigious research.Because of my own history, expertise, and network, I see myself as an enabler, making good things even better. Everyone has potential and should be empowered and given the chance to perform their best possible work.
