Whiteboard Coder's Club is an inclusive space for all participating members to practice their technical interview skills. During weekly meetings, we practice how to approach coding problems and develop techniques to use during in person and remote technical interviews. I started out as an officer for the 2019-2020 academic year and transitioned to leadership for the 2020-2021 academic year. I manage club officers to create content for club meetings and to act as community outreach within the CS Department at WWU. Furthermore, I coordinate with WWU Faculty and Alumni to create professional development opportunities for students.

Tutoring hours is a service offered through Western's CS department. As a tutor, I had a weekly shift with other tutors to host tutoring hours for students taking classes in Computer Science. Responsibilities of a tutor include participating in quarterly meetings, weekly tutoring hours, and working with students from all experience levels to help them debug solutions for their assigned coursework.

As a research assistant, I worked closely with Dr. Caroline Hardin to process large data concerning hackathons and CS education programs in Washington. I fulfilled my position by completing assigned tasks in a timely manner with an emphasis on time management and communication. I primarily used Microsoft Excel, KanBanFlow, and GitHub for assigned tasks and met weekly to discuss goals/outcomes. We used a modified form of the AGILE model to discuss progress during both research assistant and lab meetings.
