Accountable for performing accurate evaluation of prevailing export prices of goods exportedto Geographical clients, and performs accurate evaluation of prevailing import tariff codes andCustoms declarations of goods being exported to geographical client· Relevant HS Codes as published by the recognised authorities· Analysis of file documentation enforcing the necessary procedures required in reductions or upliftments of values are documented and actioned· Responsible for On time completions of Customs Queries, LO queries, problem solving and General queries· Conduct pre-pricing and pre-coding where possible/requested by the client· Perform analysis using all available sources and determine product descriptions against declaredtariff codes to evaluate accuracy in accordance with WTO/GATT· Agreement on Pre-Shipment Inspections as well as the IFIA Code of Practice for GovernmentMandated PSI Activities, sections 2.12, 2.17 and 2.20.1 - Ascertain that documents are in accordance with the requirements of the client countries· Provide Inspectors with instructions where necessary and ensure that samples taken by inspectoris in writing in accordance with GTS Operational Procedures· Determine that goods declared are not in breach of the client countries Prohibited Goods lists– action taken accordingly· Communicate with CSC with all exporter issues in relation to Pricing and Coding· Review and keep abreast of Foreign Exchange policies and market trends of both Importingand Exporting client countries as well as prevailing export market prices· Scan and upload documents upon receipt and complete valuation ensuring OperationsSupervisors are informed of all exemptions, reduction changes related to a reduction in duties and that such reductions are duly authorised by the manager· Provide support and assistance to fellow colleagues when request or necessary

- Acceptance and receiving of import documentation from branches;- Capturing data on the W-drive(Excel Spreadsheet) for record purposes;- Updating stop details on Job-notes on ciel;- Opening clearance folders and printing of documentation;- Updating and keeping record of import shipments;- EDI & C-cloud submission and follow-up till release;- Transmitting and scanning of documentation to Ciel and E-File within 48hours for record purposes;- Scanning and sending documents to Customs if shipment is queried- Assisting with the admin duties with refund applications;- Assisting in refunds, registration of shipments, framing of shipments(DP, IR, WE, RIB and RIT)and framing of VOC’s;- Assisting ZZ Sea-freight if and when required with C-cloud;- Working in airfreight every 2 weekends;- General administration duties;- Applying for ITAC permits and uploading them onto Compu-Clear and keeping record of them on the W drive(Excel Spreadsheet)- Managing rebate(CKD) report for automotive companies- Liaising with Customs on various Custom matters- Liaising with ICASA- Pre-paring and submitting of Provisional Payments(DA70) and DA185 applications- Scrutinising clearing documents for any discrepancies
