Full time role after completion of the Leadership scheme, continuing my responsibilities in Bristol. Leading the onsite maintenance team I built in 2022. Optimising preventative maintenance measures, facilitating Health & Safety improvements. Continuing the team’s development to insource service contracts in a highly cost-conscious environment.

In 2020, I joined the Assembly & Manufacturing Leadership Development Scheme (AMLDS), which is a 3-year programme aimed at former apprentices and other young personnel within Rolls-Royce that provides experiences in various roles throughout the numerous business sectors with the aim of developing the next generation of leaders in the company. Part of this scheme is the sponsoring of a Part-time Master's degree in Engineering business management (MSc) at the University of Warwick (WMG).

Seconded into the Bristol Composite Technology Facility additional to my responsibilities at Inchinnan. Single point of contact for all maintenance related matters. Built a Maintenance team for the first time to support load increase at this pre-production plant. Leading the team, facilitating training to reduce dependence on external service contracts. Structuring and standardising processes onsite with the help of lean methods.

Final placement of the AMLDS as Manufacturing Services Leader (MSL) in Rolls-Royce Compressors, Inchinnan. Accountable for the implementation of the Rolls-Royce Production System alongside the day-to-day responsibilities, jointly managing a large team of mechanics, electricians, mechatronics and contractor supervising officers.Supporting the Bristol Composite Technology Facility on a part-time basis from July 2022, travelling weekly and splitting my time between the two sites.

Second placement in the Defence Aerospace Operations Facility (DAOF) after becoming familiar with the way it operates in my previous role as MRPC. As a Production Leader, I was leading a team of 7, consisting of module fitters and inspectors involved in the assembly and overhaul of RB199 engines. Responsible for the achievement of all Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People targets set by the site leadership.

Short- to medium term material and resource management through SAP in the EJ200 MRO team at the Defence Aerospace Operations Facility (DAOF). Worked in close cooperation with supply chain coordinators, the purchasing team as well as the RR used material value stream (UMVS) to manage lead time expectations and target yields of the EJ200 team.

Team leader in a large scale improvement project at Rolls-Royce Engine Overhaul Services (EOS) rectifying performance issues and driving operational excellence in component repair (MRO Gate 2). Additionally, I led a critical repair process from an operational point of view, improving machine availability, right-first-time and general output performance. Upon completion of my apprenticeship, I started a role as a module fitter in the module assembly department for BR710, BR725 and Pearl 15 engines. My quality focus gained throughout the apprenticeship and previous experience in the department meant that I was able to quickly obtain the relevant EASA accreditation and take on full responsibility for all tasks performed.
