I had my PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Czech Technical University in Prague, after which I did my Postdoc at the University of Oxford. My work in Text Detection and Recognition field is globally acknowledged, I have presented papers on prestigious computer vision (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACCV) and document analysis (ICDAR) conferences, where I won several Best Paper Awards. In 2013 I received a highly selective Google PhD Fellowship, as the only person in the Central & Eastern Europe, in 2018 I won the Czech Mind (Ceska Hlava) award, which is amongst the most prestigious scientific awards in the Czech Republic. I am also a co-founder and the technical architect of MEMOS Software, which specialises in technical design and development of software applications based on Microsoft technologies and Azure. I was also chief architect/co-founder of Invenias, a UK-based company which is a leading provider of cloud-based executive search software. I have 20+ years experience with professional software engineering, I have worked in a technical lead capacity across a range of diverse and strategic projects for many prestigious companies.
