I have spent the last 9 years working in Quality with the last 4 years working in Fintech testing back end trading systems. I specialise in Quality Coaching, Mentoring and Exploratory Testing.I pride myself on being a part of the software development cycle from when requirements are being found, to the work being estimated by the development team, planning and scripting testing and then testing the product through multiple stages to testing completion - getting involved as early as possible and throughout the development process while code is still being written - shift left!I also believe in the value of monitoring production (Shift Right!) to get early insight into how customers are using the product and early warning for potential issues as well as to drive the design of new features. I think performance and scalability testing are essential. I use data and my experience to drive my testing - focusing on high risk and common use cases. I have been contributed with liaising with business users, external companies and customers to help direct my testing and help analyse requirements - to contribute through the full life of the development cycle in order to maximize my contribution - including the creation of tickets and the management of tickets through JIRA and Azure Devops. I contribute to improving the development life-cycle to include Documentation and communication of business requirements and specifications (such as user stories) to help improve the quality of the product being delivered. I have a keen eye for team metrics and use them to help focus resources based on business priorities and deadlines. I enjoy mentoring new testers in my team - their success helps drive me!I have experience working as a single, first tester for 8 developers, and working closely with the Business Analyst team and implementing testing processes, as well as working with an existing testing team to improve practices. I've learnt to prioritize testing based on my experience with the product(s) and my experience in the Industry to reach deadlines - however I do not believe in signing off on an untested piece of work and will communicate my confidence with the work.
