In Interoute I work in the engineering and architecture team and I do have following responsibilities:- Define and implement strategy to automate hosting infrastructure based on business and hosting engineering peers requirements;- Create and maintain platform documentation to comply with ITIL and support several ISO, PCI DSS and BSI certifications.- Guarantee proper level of knowledge across operations and engineering teams;- Manage vendor relationship for 3rd party products that are used for automation;- Act as technical escalation point whenever needed for Incident and Problem Management;- Perform technical audits (compliance scans) as required to verify customer and platform standards requirements are met and maintained;- Perform on-going performance tuning and resource optimization as required.- Apply ITIL methodology to the concept and follow best practice standards and processes.- Assist in the Continual Process Improvement (CPI) program.- Work on projects.In my daily work I get in touch with following technology and solutions:- Symantec NetBackup- EMC and NetApp storage solutions- Microsoft Windows OS family- Linux (Redhat)- Virtual platforms (Vmware, KVM, XEN)- IP Networking- Security (Cisco and Checkpoint)- Load Balancers (F5)- Hosting hardware, servers and blades (HP and Dell) - Microsoft SCOM, SNMP

I'm responsible for:- Integrating different systems (BI, Network, Virtual Hypervisors, BMC solutions)- Providing consultancy and designing architecture of different automation tools (HP DMA, HP NA, CA Lisa, BMC BSA & BAO and other products)- Design of security- Continuous development of automation use cases and people's knowledge- Leading people to the right direction- Business analysis of new automation casesApart from technical work, I'm also training the technology and teaching other colleagues from different teams (Windows, Unix, Exchange, SQL, Oracle, Network, ...).

I'm a Solution Architect of a customer located in Norway. This covers:- Periodically meeting customer and his partners- Proper Incident, Problem and Change management handling- Proactively improving the customer environment- Participation on projects- Working with different people to find and manage the best solutionsFrom IT point of view, I'm managing both virtual and physical servers which includes:- Management (Installation and Configuration) of Microsoft Windows Servers (2003 (R2), 2008 (R2) and 2012), MS Failover clusters, backup tools and other management tools.- Installation of desired applications that customer requests- Troubleshooting problems (related to Windows and Unix OS, Networking, HW)- VMware (vCenter, vSphere) configuration and management- Working with HP products (HP Blade Proliant servers, iLO, Onboard Administrator, HP SIM)- Management, configuration and troubleshooting of AD, DNS, DHCP, FTP, Web servicesAs Automation Architect I'm responsible for proposing and working on technical solutions to automate processes and manual work that costs a lot of effort. My job covers:- Integrating different systems (BI, Network, Virtual Hypervisors, BMC solutions)- Building software packages for both Windows and Linux- Writing scripts in different languages to automate processes and server operations (software installation, incident handling, auditing, PCI compliance, ...)- Working on automation of virtual/physical server provisioning, including post-provisioning requirements- Designing the infrastructure of tools from BMC (BMC Atrium Orchestrator, BMC Server Automation, BMC ADDM)Apart from technical work, I'm also training the technology and teaching other colleagues from different teams (Windows, Unix, Exchange, SQL, Oracle, Network, ...).
