I joined Professor Ryan Hayward's lab, where we investigated graph search algorithms for solving hex positions.As part of this project, my work included the following: 1. Experimenting with different approaches to move ordering using the state-of-the-art Depth First Proof Number Search implementation 2. Developing a wrapper program to extract game specific knowledge from the state-of-the-art solver for use in custom programs 3. Assisting in the development of algorithms that use Hex specific knowledge to reduce the game tree search space
