As the General Manager of Emperor Divers on the Egyptian Red Sea, I combine a passion for the ocean and a commitment to providing exceptional experiences to our clients. With 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, I currently lead a talented team of 150 incredible colleagues dedicated to safety, customer satisfaction, and environmental sustainability. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated loyalty to workplaces that have allowed me to grow personally and influence results. I entered both workplaces as part of the front line team yet developed through different levels of management. I have honed my skills in operations management, team leadership, and strategic planning; my style has changed over the years as has leadership theory. I thrive in dynamic environments, where my ability to adapt and innovate drives business growth and enhances the customer experience. At Emperor Divers, I am proud to oversee 4 liveaboard vessels - offering week long boutique style accommodation for approximately 100 guests - and 4 diving centres. I am committed to training. Having been moulded by two companies with a reputation of industry leading training in McDonald's and PADI, I put training at the forefront of leadership and operations. Where formal training courses did not exist in liveaboard hospitality, I created and then successfully ran them, collaborating with hotels such as Hilton and Old Palace to ensure candidates get to learn in an environment full of practical examples of great hospitality. My goal is to continue leading and expanding our operations, fostering a culture of excellence, developing myself and my team and advocating for marine conservation. I am proud to have been elected as an Executive Board Member in HEPCA, the largest environmental NGO in Egypt, by my peers. I am always open to new partnerships and ideas that can help us make a positive impact on the Egyptian hospitality and tourism industry, the diving community and the environment.
