Employed to work exclusively on a £5M refurbishment fit-out tender for a well-known Heritage Listed building in London, supporting the Senior Estimator through the tendering and package distribution process through phase 1 and 2 of the schedule of works.Role Required:● To produce accurate, detailed, timely and competitive bill of quantities for tender submission. ● Interpret architectural drawings and specifications for tender preparations. ● Prepare RFI (Request for Information) schedule and liaise with external Project Management to determine outcome. ● Further Liaise with external Project Management to answer post tender clarifications and queries. ● Package and tender out sub-contractor works. ● Compare quotes and methodologies to determine best fit for works. ● Liaise with internal design and contract management teams and external suppliers/sub-contractors to scrutinise scope and offer any Value Engineering possibilities. ● Produce purchase orders and hand-over project to Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor.

Managed a small estimating team for this high-end, boutique builder delivering residential projects ranging from $200k to $1m. Responsible for the sales estimating process from initial enquiry to completion, ensuring the tender documents were produced accurately, margins were maintained and customer expectations met. Achievements: ● Successfully managed the team and workload through a significant period of transition (company restructure). Team not only maintained performance level, but also met increased KPI targets. ● Quickly learnt the company product range and specifications and was able to return margins to healthy levels through precise tendering (from 16% to 21%). Role required: ● Assess all supporting documentation for each project in order to provide advice on feasibility, cost and the impact of variations from standard design. This included review of architectural drawings, marked up sketch plans, soil conditions, engineered slab design, energy report, local council and government regulations. ● Taking all conditions into account, prepare comprehensive client tenders detailing estimates and cost. ● Quality assess all final client tender submissions from the team to ensure costs and supporting documentation as accurate and legally binding. ● Liaise extensively with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure that there were no delays in process and that client tenders were delivered in a timely manner (within 10 working days from sales accept). ● Produce complete order schedule and quantity take-offs of project (post sales) for production.

Small business owner providing minor renovation works for private home owners. Achievements: Owning my own business gave me the opportunity to expand my understanding of residential construction and how to build effective client relationships. The ability to organise effectively and manage dependencies was critical to ensuring the business delivered on time and within budget. Role required: ● Manage each project end to end; including cost estimates, quotes for clients, sourcing and supply of materials, and management of trades on site. ● Manage business finances including taxation and marketing. ● Manage all aspects of the client relationship.

Recruited as the sales estimator for this reputable company, ranked number 1 largest residential builder in Victoria. Responsible for all new build residential projects ranging from $150k to $500k in the western metropolitan region; this was extended to a team of two under my management as the company experienced a significant period of growth and the workload increased. Achievements: ● I was able to expand my pre-sales role to take on responsibility for basic drafting and post-sales (production) tasks. This included taking extra study in the basics of AutoCad (drafting). Having the skills to complete more aspects of the tendering process meant less hand-offs and an increase in efficiency. ● The introduction of “The First Home Buyers Grant” saw a large spike in demand with request for tenders increasing from 45 per month to 120 per month. I went above and beyond, requesting home access so I was able to meet the new customer’s expectations and ensure the company’s reputation of timely delivery and excellent customer service remained intact. ● Effectively managed the team's workload ensuring that KPI’s were consistently met.

Responsible for all estimating requirements of new build residential projects ($150k to $500k) for this high volume builder. The role required pre-sales and post sales (production) estimating, producing bill of quantities and producing tender documents with detailed pricing, variations and wording. Achievements: ● Within a month of commencing work, there were two resignations, which left the team at 50% capacity. Although this was my first estimating role, I was able to quickly learn the basics and take on the workload to ensure our monthly targets were still met. ● Promoted to lead estimator of the western metropolitan region within 12 months. ● Worked collaboratively with the special projects IT manager to provide input into the delivery of a new bespoke in house built tender system.
