I am currently studying Forensic Psychology at the University of Portsmouth, working towards completing a DClinPsych to become a chartered clinical psychologist.I have gained valuable experience with extensive experience working in mental health support working with people with severe mental health difficulties, substance misuse, learning disabilities, autism and domestic abuse. Natalie House is a rehabilitation and recovery setting for people with severe mental health difficulties upon release from the hospital. The role involved working on rehabilitation and integration of customers back into the community after hospitalization. Alongside providing medication support and management, including administering medication, creating self-medication plans, and support in requesting medication. I was also responsible for the safety and well-being of 10 customers living at the property.Furthermore working in conjunction with other services such as Hampshire Constabulary, Change Grow Live, Mental Health Services and local GPs. I worked 1-2-1 with customers by conducting link-work sessions focus on recovery, engagement and living independently. Furthermore I was a key link-worker for 3 residents through link working and multi agency working. Following processes and procedures including creating detailed record and note keeping as well as risk assessments and support plans in line with CQC regulations Natalie House also provide activities and community opportunities such as volunteering and meaningful use of time. Including the Home Achievement Programme.I was responsible for COVID-19 management involving twice-weekly testing of staff and weekly testing of residents to remain a COVID clear space. Southampton City Council COVID Champion – working in conjunction to test, request PPE and feedback figures to the NHS.
