During my time as Senior Lifeguard I had the responsibility of managing the day to day safety of a large open water lake (40m deep). With it being a new venture I was pivotal in setting lifeguard and water safety procedures and systems. I also acted as assigned safety boat driver when necessary. My role as sports officer covered a broad range a jobs, predominantly carrying out work as a lifeguard actively assessing and preventing incidents and performing rescues when necessary. Outside of my lifeguarding role I was actively involved with gym inductions and assisting sports clubs/activities.
