- Leads and directs a team of six direct reports consisting of the federal, state, and local government relations function of the GR team, with a focus on financial services modernization (real estate, mortgages, rentals, and insurance), housing and development policy, public record data access, and tech (consumer data privacy, artificial intelligence, content moderation, innovation).- Builds strategic engagement plans on high-priority objectives and cross-functional alignment with business leaders and shared services to execute advocacy and public affairs campaigns.

Direct the political disbursement, independent expenditure and issue mobilization efforts of the association's political action and ballot initiative committees.

Worked closely with CEO in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the association while facilitating interaction between staff, membership, CEO and the Board of Directors. Led a team of contract, in-house and regional lobbyists to influence public policy on business, contract, property and real estate-related issues.

Directed the governmental, legal, political and public relations activities of a professional trade association representing nearly 8,000 real estate professionals and affiliate members. Developed and maintained effective relationships with key state and federal elected officials, implemented grassroots advocacy programs to boost REALTOR outreach to elected officials, provided legal guidance to the association and association members and solicited PAC contributions from REALTORS and delivered campaign contributions to local, state and federal candidates for public office.

Initiated and maintained contact with elected officials and legislative and executive branch staff in order to exchange information and influence the discussion of issues for corporate and non-profit clients.

Researched legal issues and legislative proposals and drafted constituent communications on legislative and regulatory issues for the Chair of the House Appropriations Committee. This position provided me with incredible insight into the appropriations and budgeting process of the Kansas Legislature during a difficult recessionary environment.
