Luke is the Director of Instruction at Interlachen Country Club. He earned a Ph.D. from the UMN in 2021. Luke has more than 16 years of experience as a golf instructor and coach. Luke invented the Rypstick in 2020 and founded Ryp Golf in 2021. The Rypstick is used by 100+ PGA Tour players and 400+ top teachers. In his spare time, Luke enjoys traveling. In 2009-2010, he spent a winter in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan, where he designed a golf course, coached the Bhutan National Golf team, and won the 2009 Bhutan Open (the highest national open in the world: elevation 9,000 ft!).As a player, Luke was a 3-time All American at Gustavus Adolphus College and has won more than 18 tournaments as a professional in the MN and on various mini-tours. In 2011, Luke finished tied for 2nd in the Minnesota Club Professionals Championship and has qualified for the Professional National Championship 3 times. Luke provides free coaching to junior golfers without limited financial support and strives to create lifelong relationships with all his clients.
