In 1842, a man was born who said the words “The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.” William James's quote emphasizes the transformative power of mindset and the profound reality that our emotions need not be subject to our experiences, but can shape them.As a senior at Wheaton College, pursuing a degree in Business Economics and a minor in Biology, I embody this philosophy in my professional, academic, and athletic pursuits. I lead a fair trade home goods company called Lux Global Goods as well as intern at several companies.
