- Worked directly under the lead project supervisor of New York's largest non-union telecommunications contractor: a company in the earliest stages of software automation. Developed solutions for inefficiencies and obstacles in administration, project management, and billing.- Conceived and created an end-to-end pipeline that aggregates, visualizes, and communicates job statuses for each of 150+ in-progress and unbilled projects across several hundred Excel workbooks. Leveraged heuristic methods to approximate individual projects' labor and materials costs. Complementary GUI used daily by CEO and lead project supervisor.- Developed a daily reminder system that notifies project supervisors of expiring permits for projects on New York City Department of Transportation Protected Streets. Violations due to work done after permit expiry typically cost JEK Communications ~$6,000 annually.- Redesigned project supervisors’ daily progress Excel template using ActiveX and Visual Basic macros to standardize data.- Automated various other processes such as a manual, 15-hour-per-week payroll workflow; backup of files stored in the IBM Cloud; and email notifications of employees' new eligibility for 401(k) benefits.

- Worked directly with a Microsoft data scientist, customer success account manager, and a cohort of mentees to develop technology-oriented collaboration and problem-solving skills.- Built close relationships with Microsoft mentors and fostered community within a group of mentees coming from underrepresented groups in the technology and computer science field.

- Identified potential targets for treatment of age-related neurological disease (e.g., dementia, stroke, general cognitive decline) and vision loss using bioinformatics and machine-learning approaches.- Independently designed and performed analyses using Galaxy and R programming. Self-taught all necessary skills.- Employed Amazon EC2 virtual machines to perform parallel analyses on high-performance computing clusters.
