I had the opportunity to extend my placement by a month to assist in a different team within the company, the Corporate Real Estate, Facilities and Security team.I led the 2018 budgeting process, meeting with the members of the team in the UK and around the world via Video Conference to consolidate over 700 lines of budget.I also assisted in the beginning of a project to clean up, improve accuracy and make more efficient the use of a key system within the Corporate Real Estate Team.

I worked in the Support Functions FP&R team heading up the OPEX analysis for the Facilities and Communications teams. On a monthly basis I created reports for the teams for each different region outlining their variance to budget and take the members through their actual spends and what needs to occur to keep on budget. Other monthly tasks included preparing accruals, Fourth Day Estimate and Close Call meetings.I also assisted in the budgeting process for Facilities, playing a key part in ensuring their budget is realistic, timely and meets company guidelines.

I played a vital role in the moving from an old paper based system to a new computerised system, increasing productivity within the office. I spent 3 months on the project and moved over everything into an easy to use process that could be continued after my departure.I was in charge of the bookkeeping and expenses system within the office. I completely transformed the process into an easy to use, clear system that was time saving and efficient.Another part of my role was advising the head financial advisor as to which product to go with in terms of Contents & Buildings Insurance as well as Life Assurance for each individual client.
