Gold Coast

I was embedded with the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) as a member of the Organising Committee team that planned and delivered the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018). The Sponsorship functional area worked closely with and reported to GOLDOC's General Manager Commercial on delivering a successful sponsorship program. Our remit was to identify, connect with and drive successful commercial negotiations with potential Sponsors of the Games and the 2018 Australian Commonwealth Games Team. Further to this, we also serviced the Sponsors throughout their partnerships, ensuring the successful delivery of their partnership rights with Gold Coast 2018. Key achievements at GOLDOC included:- Development of the sponsorship program- Successful achievement of sponsorship revenue targets - A Games record 68 sponsors secured including Seek, Optus, Woolworths, Longines and Hard Yakka- 12 additional commercial arrangements were also secured and delivered. - Successful delivery of sponsorship and commercial rights to all contracted parties - Management of sponsor activation's both in venue and out of venue, including the Games signature venue - the Carrara precinct - with sponsor activation's from Longines, Optus, TAFE Queensland, Aggreko and the Seven Network.

Golf Australia is the national amateur body for golf in Australia. Its role is to develop and grow the game of golf. In this role, I was a key member of the Team organising and running National Championships for Golf Australia, dealing on a daily basis with players, spectators, volunteers, state golfing bodies, host clubs, sponsors and the media, who were all key stakeholders of Golf Australia's National Championships. Events included: - Australian Open- Women’s Australian Open- World Amateur Teams Championship- Australian Amateur Championships- Australian Interstate Team Series- Other Golf Australia National ChampionshipsNon-GA Events:- Moonah Classic (co-sanctioned Nationwide Tour)- Australian Masters (co-sanctioned with the European Tour)
