I have been very fortunate to work as a Commercial Officer at ATC Lasham who were one of the leading maintenance repair organisations for commercial aircraft in the UK. Unfortunately due to circumstances outside my control the company entered administration in October 2015.My role as ATC Lasham’s Commercial Officer was exciting and varied. The position entailed being the sole point of contact at working level between the customer representative and ATC Lasham, putting me in the forefront of problem solving and project management throughout the aircraft’s input.I was responsible for contract negotiation and its implementation before aircraft input to comply with business strategy and our legal protection along with compliance for EASA Part 145 approval. I held pre input meetings with senior figures and supported the production team acting as the go between for the customer on site by providing daily status reports and scheduling production meetings. In doing this I kept a close tab for ongoing costs, labour hours and time scales in order to mitigate risk for the company by invoicing promptly and accurately in accordance with the agreed contractual terms.Summary below:- To provide proactive, responsible and commercially aware decision making Contract negotiation.- After sales account management for many large Blue Chip Airlines, Freight and Business Jet Operators.- Project manage aircraft maintenance holding pre input and production meetings throughout.- Data collection and analysis for accurate invoicing.- Deal with and negotiate queries arising from invoicing.- Liaise with Planning and outside agencies on operational and commercial issues.- Commercial departmental process owner for ERP system and document procedures.- Work In Progress reporting to board level.
