I will work hard and make sure the engineering practice is credited with the ISO 9001:2008 certificate in quality management systems and ISO 14001 in environmental management systems before the prequel of AMP6. I will also be attending client meetings and will be on site making sure the projects at hand are underway, on time and on budget.I will be managing the company, overseeing; commercial, design, procurement, project delivery, project commissioning and SHEQ, one of my aims would be to make sure we (as a company) are collaborating in an effective manner with good work flow and communication.I will be in education part time (no day release) to obtain my Master in Engineering degree in mechanical engineering at Open University and I am currently on track to obtaining a 1st class. After this I hope to gain chartership (Ceng) with the ImechE. Show less

This employment evolved from my studying at the college to complete my HNC in mechanical engineering. I was approached by the course leader to teach a class of eight students in the principles of CAD, as the college lacked a tutor at the time with the skills set required to teach the group in question. After 6 months of lecturing I was asked by the engineering manager if I could teach BTEC Level 3 students in mechanical engineering, I agreed and took on the responsibility. I had to structure the course (Unit 17) with an effective time scale and create assignments that met the grading criteria of the awarding body with passes, merits and distinctions. I was teaching 3 classes a week (during my lunch) which consisted; one class of 20, 16-18 year old's and two classes of 6, 16-18 year old's.I ways always in control with each class to make sure students were learning and working on assignments, but also made sure the class was fun so the students did not feel pressurised and felt relaxed in a friendly atmosphere (after all they are only a few years younger than me!) I was praised by my lecturing colleges about the good feedback I was getting from the students and how well they were scoring in each of their assignments.8 months before I left Bath College I introduced a new subject to the college which was a software package called (Autodesk Revit) This is such a valuable skill to have if you are working in the construction industry and the proposed government legislation of BIM in 2015. I done some background research of modules, subject time scales and cost and used the information to create my own proposal for the Revit course which was presented to the principle. The course was agreed and since I have left a colleague from Buro Happold has taken over to lecture in my position.During the time I was at the college I created comprehensive schedules and resources (hand-outs) Show less -

These projects demanded tight design delivery dates as well as low scheduled cost for construction. As a technical engineer I was recognised as performing above my level and in recognition of this I was identified as one of the main contributor for my team when these projects were delivered in a timely and cost effective manner. Additionally I am actively attending internal CPD courses for the latest software and products for current and future building industry standards. I have created small project plans to guide my teams technicians through demanding design workflow from large projects, especially the Louvre Abu Dhabi project. In line with such projects I have created presentations for respective clients which serve and identify a more effective project, the final design process and delivery scale for their approval and deliberation.
