I am Luke Desira. By trade, I am a Mechanical Engineer, and I’m in possession of a Master’s of Science in Integrated Product Development. From early on in my career I realized that I was meant to use my engineering skills in a realm that’s outside my profession. I have a great passion for service design and have always found ways to use my passion and knowledge to help businesses improve.I’ve always been the ‘last in last out’ type at any office I’ve worked in, and I keep way too many browser tabs open on my laptop. My brain seems to never take a rest. I’m always on the prowl for the next project or a solution to a quandary.Luke Desira is “spontaneous, versatile, open-minded and sure loves a good discussion”.I believe in a world in which people do the things they do because they want to, not because they have to. I love finding simple solutions to seemingly complex problems.I see business as a big, complex game. Different people have 2 roles in their life, that both contribute to this game, as follows:‘The buyer’ – any person who buys any product or service that would help him. This can be a car, a home, a pizza, a book, anything that is used by the person to do/have whatever they want‘The maker’ – any person who has a job contributes to the creation of one of all the products or services that exist in the world. Everyone who works somehow contributes to the value chain.It fascinates me how the way businesses have a fundamental impact on the quality of life of everyone. If everyone was enjoying everything they buy, and everyone loved their job, then life would definitely be great for all.

I believe that everyone should live their dream life. Unfortunately, society sometimes drags some people into a rat race. Yet we believe that you should Dare to Dream & to #MakeItHappenWe believe that travel is an excellent educator of critical life skills, and a source of definite adventure, that adds a little spice to our lives. With that in mind, we set out to create a community of like-minded people, who love nature and adventure. We regularly meet for trekking, or social events, and enjoy each others' company. Kraze Travel also also crafts and execute trips to some of the most amazing locations in the world; the Annapurna Range in Nepal, Macchu Pichu in Peru, and many others. My role in this activity is to guide a talented team of travel professionals from idea, to start-up, to a fully fledged, sustainable business. By making this business a reality, I would have proved that a person can make money out of their passions and talents. My Dream in the Future is to have a Business Incubator whereby passionate teams, like the one I am working with right now, can work together and get the support of seasoned professionals, and the funding they need from private investors. At Step Enterprises, my role as the technical partner and managing director was to:- define the process to follow to implement ISO certification- define the roles and responsibilities of all of the members of the staff, including recruitment- spearhead the strategy After I grew the company to a level where employed consultants were doing all the work, I realized that I was not happy. I was not seeing the improvements I wanted to see for my clients. Today, I have learnt from my mistakes. I consult clients myself to see the improvements at my clients with my own eyes. To use my experiences in business to help identify area for improvement. And to hear my clients' employees intelligently discuss solutions to problems I help them pin point. And to see such solutions into fruition. I am still very grateful for my first Step. And yet I knew I felt that I was destined to get my hands dirty and go down in the trenches to find solutions to real, day to day problems my clients face to achieve the real benefits of continual improvement.

Created the basis for a new company within the group. Helped the company develop new products. Teamed with upper management to guide the company toward the right direction.

Took care of the validation of semi-flexible automation, that is, the process for installation to commission, to the stage where the production throughput can be predicted.
