This is a fast paced role where i am primarily responsible for ramp planning of any given part of the British Airways Lounghaul fleet which at this time inculdes 747-400, 777-200/200ER/300ER, A380-800 and 787-8/-9 aircraft. Key aspects of the role involve maintaing aircraft compliance and opperational stability through best possible usage of scheduled downtime. Being proactive is essential is finding extended maintenance slots for specific tasks as well as a calm reactive approach to help resolve unforeseen issues on the day. This position is part of a very dynamic team involving materials specialists and technical support among others, a good technical background is essential however to enable a productive plan to be readily created.

As a Production Coordinator for Boeing 787 and Airbus A380 aircraft I was tasked with analysing all the ADDs that were on those aircraft and ensuring that each defect had all the correct spares, specialist tooling and required man hours listed to enable the planners to construct the best possible plan for a first time fix. If anything is not available for that task be it spares, tooling or persons (i.e composite specialists) then I would be tasked with liaising with the relevant parties to acquire them. This role not only required a good understanding of the aircraft themselves and mechanical background but a solid knowledge of how to use all documents related to then (AMM, CMM, IPC among others).
