Reflecting on my incredible two-year journey at Hugo Boss Rotterdam, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the transformative experiences and growth it has brought into my life.When I first joined the team, I was the youngest staff member, eager to immerse myself in the working world. From the outset, I felt excited and determined to make a meaningful impact. Throughout my time at Hugo Boss, I worked under a diverse range of managers, each with their unique leadership style. Amidst these valuable experiences, one significant challenge I encountered was communicating with Dutch customers without speaking Dutch. Overcoming this language barrier taught me the importance of empathy and understanding in building solid connections. It pushed me to develop practical communication skills and find creative ways to bridge cultural gaps, enhancing customer relationships.As I now stand as the longest-serving current team member, I leave Hugo Boss with cherished memories and a heart brimming with gratitude. As a Student Ambassador, I worked alongside a talented team of fellow students, each contributing their unique skills and expertise. This role was a perfect balance alongside my studies, allowing me to make a meaningful impact on campus life and prospective students.One of my many fulfilling tasks was assisting new students with registering with the municipality, ensuring a smooth transition to their life in Rotterdam. Additionally, organizing events, including a vibrant boat party for new students, added excitement and a sense of community to their university experience.Public speaking became a regular part of my role, where I had the opportunity to address both future and new students and parents, sharing insights about our university and the exceptional learning environment it offers. These engagements allowed me to hone my communication skills and build strong connections with the university's community.Venturing beyond our campus, our team represented Rotterdam Business School at surrounding international schools' fairs. One of my most significant achievements as a Student Ambassador was leading the "Big Three event." This high-profile project involved hosting counsellors from all over the world. Our goal was to showcase the university's strengths and distinctiveness. Through a dynamic "shark tank" style pitch, myself acting as the show host, our students presented actual companies they had created, leaving counsellors impressed by the practical and innovative skills our university nurtures.My time as a Student Ambassador at Rotterdam Business School was an immensely fulfilling journey that enriched my university experience beyond measure.
