As a teacher, that means motivating kids beyond the curriculum I teach. As a city councilman, that means sharing and relentlessly pursuing goals to make my city better. I am a 2023 finalist for Kentucky Teacher of the Year, the 2016 Hazard/Perry County Young Man of the Year, and a Duke of Hazard. I am a graduate of the University of Kentucky (English and Hispanic Studies) and obtained my Masters in Educational Studies through Johns Hopkins University.
