I consulted with SMEs and Stakeholders to design eLearning courses to increase performance and affect employee change in the Oil and Gas, Transport and Banking sectors. I developed storyboards in Articulate Storyline to ensure an engaging online adult learning experience for the learner.

I wrote and submitted Program motions for four Programs with a diverse set of criteria ranging from termination through to creation. For these motions, I conducted a needs analysis working closely with stakeholders to ascertain the desired outcome before setting the deliverables required using Critical Path Method. Through leading these projects, my skills in collaboration combined with my project management acumen ensured the projects progressed with the highest quality for each part of the project and on time. The successful passing of these motions relied upon these skills alongside my excellent written and oral communication skills.My excellent communication skills were further leveraged with the successful writing of proposals for the approval of two new Programs through the Alberta Education Ministry and a selection of proposals sent to SAIT's Investment Committee. I attribute my success through writing these proposals to a deep understanding of the audience and adopting the most appropriate communication strategy to get the message across. Alongside my passion for Instructional Design, I always show a desire to get the appropriate information to the end user, whether this is a learner or a colleague.For the curriculum development aspect of my role, I led cross-functional teams in developing adult learning curriculum for two new Programs. Supervising the Instructional Designer, Subject Matter Expert Multimedia and Writer-Editor leads, I worked collaboratively and adopted critical thinking skills to solve problems in development and ensure win-win learning solutions. For the Water and Wastewater Treatment Operations Program, I was pleased that the work from the team successfully received a high accredited score from Alberta Environment and Parks.

I conducted a number of changes for existing adult learning programs and courses, acting as a consultant with my advanced knowledge of creating and defining sound learning outcomes. The two most successful projects in this series of changes were reorganizing the Welding Engineering Technology Program to allow a better progression for new students and streamlining the Admissions policy for the Non-Destructive Testing Foundations Program. I led these projects with a distinct focus on needs analysis for the end user and addressed how to make these changes with a focus on benefit on all stakeholders for a win-win learning solution. These two changes provided great benefit for the student experience for the Welding Engineering Technology Program and improved enrollment in the Non-Destructive Testing Foundations Program by 300%.One of the projects I am most proud of in this role was the creation of an eLearning version of an Electrical Updater Course that SAIT ran in a face-to-face delivery mode called "CODE 103 - What's New In The Code?". I acted as the Instructional Designer for the project and working in collaboration with the Subject Matter Expert, we assessed the learner profile of the prospective student to design a compelling and high-quality eLearning training course. I used my extensive knowledge of the Brightspace LMS and eLearning theories alongside leveraging new educational technologies such as Lightboard to deliver an exciting eLearning training course. The result was a course that received glowing reviews from students at the City of Calgary and was delivered on time and under budget.I also applied a high standard design template for Brightspace courses and conducted quality peer reviews of the eLearning courses within the School of Manufacturing & Automation. My work on this follows my passion in training to improve the skills of the instructors in Brightspace and in turn, lead to an excellent learning experience for our students.

My organization qualities and keen eye for detail lend themselves well in my role where I am responsible for the data quality for a host of Programs ensuring excellent curriculum for our students. I ensure adult learning program and course changes are made to a high-level of accuracy using a specialist piece of software called Curriculog, ordering Curriculum materials for staff and students and ensuring our eLearning courses have the correct material and improving upon the data quality within Brightspace. As a Brightspace champion for the school I work with colleagues to teach them the workings of Brightspace and how to help them use the platform to share their educational vision. I have exceptional skills in addressing the features of Brightspace, from basic to advanced, in an accessible format to ensure that instructors can improve their teaching. In addition to educating my colleagues, I have created a series of video tutorials training others to use Brightspace that we have uploaded to YouTube to assist education providers far and wide.I am passionate in being involved in the creation of new courses and programs having worked with colleagues on the creation of manuals and curriculum. I have thrived from being involved in a series of projects and am inspired to find new and innovative ways to deliver content to students.

Working for the School of Manufacturing and Automation, I provided exceptional support for continued education courses, pre-employment programs and corporate training offerings to students and faculty. My excellent customer service and communication skills ensured a high-quality experience for the student. My key focuses in the administration of these programs was improving quality, streamlining processes using project management cloud-based software tool Smartsheet and researching potential new training and adult learning opportunities.One notable example of my desire to improve the student experience was the creation of a Frequently Asked Questions document to explain our Fire Systems courses and how they relate to the Canadian Fire Alarm Association qualifications. My technical writing and needs analysis skills for our students created a thorough and helpful document that received positive reviews from colleagues and students and decreased email and phone queries for the program.

I researched lawyers across Canada and Texas, USA finding General Practice lawyers to write Wills. On a daily basis, I used search engines to find and verify over 70 lawyers across numerous sources to ensure the highest data quality, taking into account reviews and orders from provincial and state Law bodies.I also researched potential charities within Texas to ascertain contacts for a colleague conducting a business trip to the area. In this search method, I also employed checking against numerous sites to ascertain the highest quality of information.

Working as the Distance Education Administrative Assistant for the School of Construction, I maintained the upkeep and file structure for over 30 eLearning courses within the Brightspace platform.I liaised on a daily basis with students, colleagues and instructors regarding queries for the courses in person, over the phone and through email. I displayed excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with these often intricate queries and delivered exceptional customer service with a quick turn around time for response to emails and voicemails.I enjoyed improving the quality of curriculum and the student experience through training students and colleagues on how to use Brightspace and related applications. One instance of my work in this field was completing a walkthrough document for GIS students to effectively download and use ArcGIS. My skills in technical writing and needs analysis allowed me to design a document that helped students successfully complete their studies. In addition to these tasks, I would multitask and organise my workload to accompany the following weekly tasks:● Producing contracts and arranging appropriate signatures● Running reports on student numbers● Producing student files● Ordering and monitoring of course materials● Researching new growth initiatives● Producing copies of software for students● Editing Word and PDF course documents● Issuing licenses for course software such as ArcGIS● Providing support for events such as information nights● Filing
