As a Supervisor with the Northwestern Intramural sports programs, I act as lead official for multiple sports such as soccer, softball, and floor hockey, as well as overseeing other officials in the program. I am also tasked with maintaining records of payment timesheets and scores of games. The supervisors are overseen by the Director of the Intramural program, and we are responsible for maintaining lines of communication with him regarding the status of games and other activities.

The club ice hockey team at Northwestern University practices two times a week and participates in two to three games every weekend. As President of the club team, I have taken on the responsibility of coordinating the operations and activities required to make sure that everything runs smoothly. This involves working with the team's Coach and Schedule Manager to manage games and practice times, coordinating with the team's Treasurer about financial matters such as collecting dues and payments for club activities, maintaining a relationship with the University's financial office to reimburse team expenses to individuals when necessary, and organizing transportation to practices and games with the team's Transportation Coordinator. Keeping attendance high is a priority, and part of my job is to ensure that it remains that way, whether that entails contacting team members about practices and games or instituting fines for absences should it become necessary. I am also the general liaison to the University, especially important should any issues arise during my term.

The Office of Undergraduate Research at Northwestern University gives undergraduate students the opportunity to submit proposals and pursue research opportunities over the summer by providing funding and other support. My research was based in transportation analysis and focused on carpooling in the Chicago region. By using data from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), I investigated whether increased carpooling from certain areas of the region would have an effect on overall traffic congestion. This research required the use of ArcGIS and R, giving me proficiency in these programs. I was also awarded a URG-Kapnick Award for my proposal; the funding for my project comes from the Kapnick Business Institutions Program.

The Mount Sinai PRISM study has been researching how factors such as stress and environmental conditions affect the development of asthma in children for over four years. The research team that I was a part of recruits pregnant women at Mount Sinai and conducts various examinations and questionnaires throughout the child's development. The study follows the mother and child from the second trimester of pregnancy until the child is three and a half years old. As a research assistant with the study, I was trained on how to conduct visits, administer questionnaires, and recruit new participants. The study currently has over 500 participants at all of the different stages of development, so there are many different assignments to carry out from scheduling appointments to conducting a lab exam with a mother and her 30 month old child.

Starting when I was ten years old, I attended Camp Baco for boys every summer for seven weeks. I made some of my best friends there and my counselors were some of my greatest role models, shaping me into who I am today. After the summer of 2013, my career as a camper ended, and I was given the opportunity to return as a counselor. Given the incredible impact camp had on me throughout my formative years, I could not pass this up.For 3 summers, I was a counselor at Camp Baco. I was responsible for the physical and emotional well-being of up to 25 boys ranging from seven to sixteen years' old. My specialty was roller hockey, and I rose to become a senior counselor on roller hockey staff. This involved leading drills, refereeing games, and coaching teams in inter-camp tournaments, both at Baco and on the road at other camps. In my last summer, I led out of camp day trips to nearby towns and one overnight trip to Boston.
