Leading the sales portfolio for Gas Atomised Metal Powders in EMEA, I am responsible for sales revenues which consists of multiple large blue chip companies across sectors such as Aerospace, Automotive and General Engineering. I am responsible for maintaining market share and growing new opportunities to enable the large growth targets of Sandvik Additive Manufacturing division. Near net shape technologies such as Additive Manufacturing (AM) and Metal Injection Molding (MIM) are some of the disruptive frontrunners for industrial technologies. The core in these new manufacturing technologies lies in the metal powder and the process. Having a technical understanding of metallurgy, metal powder technologies and powder technology is key to driving growth with existing and new customers for new application opportunities. As Key Account Manager, I am the focal point for my key customers within the UK and I ensure that the relationship that is held between Hexcel and our customer is strong and secure. As technical and commercial focal point for my customers, I liaise with all levels of seniority within an organisation to ensure they are supported either by myself or the Hexcel team. Working within the UK based Technical Support Team supporting Aerospace customers within Europe and worldwide. My main role involved supporting customers that are part of the Airbus A350XWB program supply chain that use Hexcel’s prepreg, adhesive and core materials. Supporting the customer with the processing of Hexcel material for serial manufacture of aircraft parts. My key activities included:• NPI • Technical support• Composite material manufacturing • Relationship management• AFP/ATL Automation experience • Commercial support• Conducting product training seminars • Customer supportAs a key member of the technical launch team for the introduction of new materials (NPI) to the A350 program, I supported marketing, operations and R&T by managing various projects along the NPI timeline. Through my experience, I have extensive knowledge of carbon and glass prepreg manufacture, processes for automated part manufacture (ATL and AFP automation techniques) and various other manufacturing processes. Additional to my main support role of the A350 programme, I managed multiple projects with multiple UK and European based customers.
