As District Manager, I direct strategic and financial planning for Southern Oregon, overseeing operations at 13 retail locations. I regularly assess the resources needed to deliver optimal service delivery and allocate resources accordingly. I also generate financial, sales, and competitive intelligence reports, using data to plan short- and long-term goals for each location.In addition, I integrate corporate initiatives for all stores, collaborating with store management teams on customizing based on the needs of their customers and markets. Other responsibilities included recruiting and training business leaders; driving merchandising and inventory control based on forecasting; maintaining compliance for all sites; negotiating vendor agreements; and cultivating partnerships and community relationships. Selected Achievements:• Spearheaded charitable giving and fundraising for State of Oregon on behalf of the Red Nose Foundation in collaboration with regional teams across the Pacific Northwest. • Partnered with our Financial team on identifying root causes of variances and designing related improvement plans to optimize KPI results. • Sustained the highest engagement survey results, including maintaining 100% engagement from Store Managers on eight consecutive quarterly surveys, which was the only district to do so. • Promoted employee enrollment in 401(k) plans, as well as holding informal conversations with team members to identify importance. • Cultivated a divisional culture focused on performance and growth, identifying leadership development opportunities and mentoring management staff at each level of their careers. • Transformed pharmacy operations by developing and strengthening talent pipeline. • Led hiring and staffing for district, creating forecasts based on trends and turnover reports, as well as adjusted forecasts as needed upon changes to operational performance, pipeline depth, and attrition.

The Walgreens Community Leader role is a blend of Store and District Manager responsibilities, and during this time, I managed development and coaching of Store Managers within my region and focused on building a community of leaders for the company. I also analyzed financial records and statements for each store, collaborating with Store Managers on assessing metrics and identifying improvement strategies. In addition, I met with the District Manager to review territory plans and financials, creating action plans for each location. Selected Achievements:• Recruited for a transfer to Southern Oregon, where I oversaw the expansion of our market share within the region and opened new store locations. • Led training and leadership development for seven locations, as well as guided all community outreach to increase brand’s positioning as a business and community leader for area. • Introduced charitable opportunities to champion Store Managers and their locations as community partners, including securing participation in Relay for Life, Toys for Tots, and Make a Wish Foundation events. • Voted Store Manager of the Year in 2012 by peers throughout Oregon.

I came to Walgreens right out of school after completing a Business Management internship, earning placement in the management training program right away. From there, I was named Executive Assistant Manager before being promoted to Store Manager in 2006. As Store Manager, I supervised financial transactions, bank withdrawals and deposits, bookkeeping, armored car pickups, and financial reporting. I also analyzed inventory trends and used data to plan forecasts, orders, and stock changes, as well as led sales, marketing, and merchandising strategies with a focus on profitability. Other responsibilities included asset protection, loss prevention, community outreach, employee engagement initiatives, and training of staff members. Selected Achievements: • Facilitated coaching and training sessions to share best practices in interpersonal communications, customer service, and problem-solving. • Built relationships with diverse customer population, assisting them with questions and addressing escalated issues and special requests.
