I am responsible for providing technical support in all areas across the school and in particular performing arts: dance, drama and music.I am also responsible for supporting and supervising students, assisting and advising them in aspects of technical theatre and aspects of health and safety. Within my role as Special Educational Needs & Disabilities / Pastoral Support I worked closely with a number staff across the school to support students from all different backgrounds, including disaffected students such as those with educational, physical and disability needs, and who all have their own personal issues. My role was to ensure that myself with the SEND and pastoral teams were engaging students with the wider program, which falls outside of the general curriculum. I also made sure that progress is made and that the student’s individual needs are met through a variety of work including one to one mentoring as well as group sessions on various topics relevant to students needs. Once students are identified as requiring support, I helped to identify and put strategies in place to support them academically.

Working for Interseve FM as a Leisure Supervisor my main role is to ensure the successful running of community activities over 3 venues. This also included the running of theatre spaces across the venues managing the lighting and sound systems.

Casual Technician for multiple venues across Birmingham and the West Midlands including, Birmingham Town Hall & Symphony Hall, The Old Rep, The Birmingham Rep.

I was responsible for delivering the technical aspects of the Technical Theatre Arts course along with production managing academy productions.I also had duties as theatre technician which included fit ups, rehearsals and performance along with overseeing Technical Theatre Arts students manning the shows.
