I worked on four different projects during my time at Airbus Defence and Space and thoroughly enjoyed every minute! My time there included exposure to a range of projects including Secure SatComms, onboard Naval Terminals and Processor Controller Software onboard satellites, I worked the roles of both Test Engineer and Test Lead Which ensures I participated in all aspects of the STLC.

Smart Metering - My time for SQS has seen me largley utilising my previous utilities knowledge where I have been heavily involved in Smart Metering over two “Big 6” Clients, I have been involved in both analysing and leading the following areas for the SMETS 1 solution: • System Integration Prepayment solution. • System integration Credit Solution.• Head End System (HES) Upgrade testing.• Product Acceptance Testing (PAT) for Gas, Electric and Comms hub. • Over the Air upgrade for Gas, Electric and Comms hub. • Device testing Gas, Electric and Comms hub and IHD’s.My role here has been process improvement and providing the testing team with expert testing knowledge. I also deliver smart metering device quality assurance and am responsible for testing Smart metering devices I.E Electricity and Gas meter, In home display units and Communications Hubs, Ensuring that they are compliant and work in accordance with the Technical specifications provided by the industry.Finance (Data Migration) - My first Client as a SQS representative was working as a software test analyst where I was part of 3-man team member that helped successfully deliver the system upgrade and data migration of a large Oracle EBS R12 suite. The Client is the world’s number one distributor of heating and plumbing products and a leading supplier of builders’ products to the professional market. This was a very intense project where the consequences held a high severity – Financial data loss and Business critical reporting corruption to name just a few. My role here developed from being a TA on a 3- man team, to being selected to as the sole SQS tester to deliver the solution on Go-Live weekend. Leaving me being the sole representative of SQS on site for my first client. The work performed here has lead SQS to being involved in future projects which I take pride in.

I worked as a Senior-Test Analyst for Hewlett Packard for around 14 months in a very demanding environment with an extremely interesting customer. This helped me to improve and grow as a professional in the world of software testing. I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Hewlett Packard enterprise services and gained some extremely valuable experience.

Currently working with Oracle MDMS on the Smart Metering - Supply transformation Program. I am enjoying my time as a Test Analyst, looking to peruse my career and progress in this area. Working alongside colleagues Accenture and SQS which is a great experience.

Rolled out, Supported and maintained a small software application which concentrated on improving the efficiency of targeted employees of Scottish and Southern Energy. The application was a big success and went live on over 1000 thin and thick clients across 4 main customer service bases in the UK.
