Luke enrolled at the University of North Texas, in Dallas, Texas straight out of high school. He pursued a double major in English and political science, and graduated with honors in only 3 years. Luke fell in love with San Diego on his first visit and chose California Western School of Law after being offered a substantial scholarship. Throughout his time at California Western, Luke was active in several clubs and organizations including the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program. For this service, Luke was awarded the Wiley E. Manuel award from the State Bar of California and inducted into the California Western Pro Bono Honors Society. Through specialized course work, Luke was able to obtain his Juris Doctor degree with the Child, Family, Elder law specialization certificate with honors. Following graduation, Luke took the California bar and was notified that he had passed the California bar exam on his first attempt. Not one to rest on his achievements, Luke immediately began applying for jobs and was hired in June of 2011 as the sole negotiator for Bridgepoint Education. Following his time there, he opened his own firm: Martin & Woodward, LLP. He partnered with a school mate and began practicing business law, family law, mediation, and criminal law. At the same time, he was teaching as an associate faculty member for Bristol University. The school approached him about becoming their Vice President of Compliance, which Luke jumped at. Unfortunately, the distance became an issue when their was a family emergency. Luke resigned from the position, but remains on excellent terms serving as an associate faculty member and even does course development for the school. Luke accepted a position as a full-time faculty member at Everest University Online in October of 2013 in their paralegal studies program. Luke also serves as an associate faculty member at Ashford University, University of Phoenix, New England College, and Springfield College.
