Key Projects & Initiatives:-Assisted in the transition between two major suppliers by ordering new stock while depleting previous supplier’s stock and without running out of stock. Ensured transition period was done smoothly and timely due to being an assembly part for production companies/OEM.Key Projects & Initiatives continued:-Initiated a switch to new domestic supplier which resulted in 25-30% annual saving as well the new supplier agreed to pre-pay large shipments within reasonable lead times. In this case changing from multi-sourcing to single sourcing created an overall efficiency and cost-saving within the inventory controls and levels.-Reduced overall air freight costs by reviewing historical sales and marketing data, and understanding international suppliers’ shutdown periods. Key Projects & Initiatives continued:-Have reduced Inventory levels by 1/3 with improved forecasting and JIT initiatives with suppliers along with holding suppliers accountable if having to expedite product in due to failure to meet shipping date, thus reducing freight costs as well.
