Hi my name's Luke and I'm a senior rotational physiotherapist specialising in frailty with Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. I've worked in a variety of settings throughout my career which has enabled me to hone my skills to become a well rounded clinician.I qualified in June 2017 and began my band 5 rotations in July the same year and have since worked in orthopaedics, musculoskeletal outpatients, community, stroke rehab and older persons therapy. As a senior physiotherapist I've mentored others with their career progression, worked in role emerging placements such as complex discharge planning support from hospital and also acted up as a team lead in cases of annual leave and sickness.I have also worked within sports, and have worked as a matchday physiotherapist for a semi professional football club for 2 and a bit years providing pitchside trauma assessment and treatment. I have also acted up as head physio for a local team on a short term basis. I'm looking to continue developing my skills in advanced assessment techniques and have set my own personal goals around this. I enjoy challenging myself and working in different settings as this will ultimately benefit my future practice and means I'll always be able to bring something to the table.
