A Lead Volunteer is the most experienced volunteer at an event and is responsible to ensure its success and the development of the attending volunteers. This involves having a clear grasp on the expectations of an event, building a good rapport with staff, parents, children and other volunteers, being highly adaptable to deal with any issues as they arise, such as safeguarding, and being able to interact with children in a meaningful way while keeping an eye on other volunteers and the event as a whole.
