I assisted the Town of Carrboro Stormwater staff in researching urban forestry and stormwater connections. In doing so, I verified and updated existing street tree inventory with identified specimens in Downtown Carrboro. Outreach material was presented to Town of Carrboro businesses and residents related to the monetary benefits that urban forestry can.

I was a research assistant to Professor Diego Riveros-Iregui of the UNC-Chapel Hill Department of Geography in collecting ecohydrological data in the highlands of San Cristobal Island. I utilized a CO2 Concentration Probe to characterize soil conditions and a pressure chamber to measure plant-water potential of endemic, native, and invasive plant species..
