As the first ever Nominating Officer for the Northern Independence Party it was my responsibility to coordinate and carry out the candidate vetting process. This involved forming a candidate vetting panel and organising a candidate interview schedule. Working with fellow volunteers in the Party, I chaired candidate interviews, vetted candidates, and compiled the necessary paperwork for submission to the Electoral Commission ahead of local and by-elections.

I started off covering shifts whenever needed, until I was given a weekly shift on a Saturday night. I developed my ability to work with new people, as I have worked with different people on my shift, I also developed my customer service skills.
