With 5 years of dedicated service as a Data Scientist for Solaria Labs, following 3 years of Data Science experience in defense, I've honed a specialization in computer vision tasks and NLP tasks, including multi-modal generative AI, search engines and triage systems. My role involves not just algorithm development but also integrating these solutions into our broader systems, enhancing our business class code matching, risk management, and claims capabilities. Our proficiency in version control systems and CI/CD pipelines enables the maintaining of robust, scalable machine learning solutions that serve as a foundation for strategic automation.Prior to Liberty Mutual, I was a data scientist for Systems & Technology Research, a defense contractor that helped me build foundational skills in deep learning, such as training CNNs from scratch using PyTorch. I even had the opportunity to write a technical paper for the Conference on Information Fusion, Ottawa 2019, outlining an interesting use-case of feature extraction using contrastive learning. These earlier experiences were invaluable in bootstrapping my career as a data scientist.
