This role allowed me to manage a few sub trades on the close out phase of the J.W. Marriott tower construction. Another major part in my role was deficiency tracking and control.

Peace River, Alberta

Worked with a field engineer on the Peace River Bridge Twinning Project. I surveyed and logged concrete pile pours for one of the most productive portions of the project. Carried out time studies and created pre-work plans to aid in hitting productivity goals for other activities onsite. Supervised turbidity monitoring by scheduling testing, managing equipment and small crew.

This job allowed me to work alongside a project engineer where I acquired skills in learning effective communication with both the client and the contractor. I gained experience in activities such as redesign, estimating costs, measuring field quantities and carrying out field inspections.

Job provided me with hands on experience, construction entailed the complete rehabilitation of an old commercial building into a new medical clinic. Gained the responsibility to check on subcontractors and shut down site at the end of every day.
