About Luke Ragin
If I can run 31.3 miles (or 50 kilometres for my metric-using friends!)- baby, I can do anything.Much like my weight-training regimen; my historical reading list is heavy, consistent and deeply fulfilling.My research interests lie in modern Western history: primarily that of American, European and Australasian histories from ~1700 AD onward to now; particularly in political, military and international affairs histories. A specific area of intellectual curiosity for me that has formed the basis for multiple university research reports has been within the realm of small-scale conflicts during the Second World War and the Cold War.Physical fitness and the confidence that it has imbued into me is at the core of my being. Growing up sickly and unfit, my pursuits in the realms of distance running and amateur power lifting have gifted me some of my greatest achievements: namely completing an ultramarathon in Croft State Park in 2016 and great placements in various races in the Upstate of SC.
