I began my career at NCC Group as a Junior Consultant in December 2013, where I gained experience in various assessment types such as web application/API assessments, code review (Python, Java, C#), mobile application reviews, host build reviews (Windows, Linux, OSX, Solaris), cloud assessments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Heroku), operational assessments, and internal and external infrastructure assessments. This diverse skill set helped me develop a strong understanding of security and become a valuable asset to the company.During my time at NCC Group, I have frequently performed Merger and Acquisition technical due diligence assessments. These assessments require a combination of different assessment types to produce reports and presentations that highlight the risks associated with potential acquisitions, as well as the effort required to remediate certain findings. Through dozens of M&A deals, I gained unique insights into how organizations or products compare to others I have assessed, providing valuable information to acquirers.Over the last several years, I have become the internal authority on M&A at NCC Group, leading the Global Practice for the service line. I have experience in working under pressure, dealing with unfamiliar technology or coding languages, and completing M&A deals within a short time-frame of 2 to 3 weeks. Throughout my career, I have also led engagements that required creative thinking to complete the project successfully.In recent years, I have taken on more significant roles as a security lead for several large engagements that spanned multiple months. I have led large teams of over 50 consultants to deliver product reviews, infrastructure assessments, red team assessments, threat hunting assessments, and security tooling reviews. My leadership skills and technical expertise have been instrumental in ensuring the successful completion of these complex engagements.

From October 2011 to March 2013, I worked as a Technical Support Engineer for a storage area networking vendor. In this role, my main responsibility was to diagnose and troubleshoot faults on a range of SAN and NAS devices, while assisting customers in finding solutions to their issues. I also worked closely with the sales team to help customers choose the right devices that fit their needs.During my time in this role, I developed strong technical skills in storage area networking, which served as a foundation for my future work in information security. I also gained valuable experience in customer service, as I ensured that customers' issues were resolved quickly and effectively.My ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders was particularly valuable in my role as a pre-sales engineer. This skill has been useful in my work in information security, as I often need to explain complex technical concepts to clients who may not have a strong technical background.
