Co-located with PG&E management and staff to oversee a portfolio of gas pipeline engineering and construction work valued at $120M in engineering and construction cost. Project portfolio includes gas pipeline replacement projects, specifically projects with outside stakeholders, such as Caltrans, Army Corps of Engineers, and private developers. Typical projects involve extensive coordination with multiple gas, water, and sewer utilities on design requirements and construction phasing to ensure cost- and schedule-effective construction. Works closely with PG&E environmental, permitting, engineering, and scheduling staff to deliver pipeline replacement and testing activities on schedule and under budget. Many of these projects are high profile and time-sensitive, and involve presentations to corporate upper management. Project manager of several projects which report to PG&E executive (CEO level) leadership. Main representative for PG&E for interface with construction contractor crews on site in order to understand means and methods, make field design changes, negotiate change orders, and keep work and costs on target. Meets regularly with local jurisdictional agencies to ensure street closures, permitting, and traffic control plans are approved in a timely fashion and do not impede project progress.
