I'm a third year Honors Neuroscience major, Spanish minor, and Morrill Scholar at The Ohio State University. As a queer student passionate about Linguistics, LGBTQ+ issues, and Cognitive Neuroscience, I look to expand my knowledge on various frontiers. Understanding the social underpinnings of language unlocks an entirely new realm of understanding human connection, and I bring this perspective to all that I do. Through my academic and research career, I have investigated neuroinflammation and its relation to TBI recovery, as well as phonetic structures of Spanish in a second-language acquisition setting. Being a member of Ohio State's event planning board has taught me the importance of adaptation in and outside the realm of event planning. I am proud to introduce, plan, and execute events for a diverse student body. I hope to use my experience and skills to open doors and create space for queer and trans people in every corner of the world.
