As an Editor-in-Chief for Marist College's sports publication, I oversee dozens of student journalists, graphic designers, photographers and videographers. I lead our publication's direction as we comprehensively cover Marist Athletics.- Operating our publication's content management system and search engine optimization- Editing most of our publication's written content to meet AP Style standards- Covering the women's basketball beat, men's soccer beat and writing the 'Beyond the Lines' column, which details the life journeys of those in the Marist athletics community- Pitching ideas and conducting research- Fostering relationships with key stakeholders in the Marist community- Working to shape the direction of our publication

As the President of Maristat, Marist's sports analytics club, I lead the club in advancing interest and skills in sports analytics on campus. My responsibilities include:- Overseeing all facets of the club operation while ensuring that our Vice President, Baseball Committee Chair and Social Media Director are empowered to successfully fulfill their duties.- Creating compelling and informative content that touches upon all corners of the sports analytics industry to present at our general meetings.- Securing guest speakers with industry experience to occasionally present at our general meetings.- Providing assistance to our Baseball Committee in generating opponent scouting reports for Marist Division I Baseball, including base running reports that helped Marist finish 14th in the nation in stolen bases.

As a sophomore in college, I joined the editorial board of Marist College's sports publication.- Selected from a group of dozens of student journalists to serve as an Assistant Editor for Center Field.- Edited much of the written content on our website in addition to producing my own written content.- In my role as a beat reporter, I wrote weekly stories on the Marist men's soccer team during the fall sports season.

As the Baseball Committee Chair for Marist College's sports analytics club, I was responsible for many tasks, including:- Overseeing the creation of weekly scouting reports for Marist's Division I Baseball team, which helped the team finish 14th in the nation in stolen bases.- Designing and implementing scouting reports on all Marist opponents using the 6-4-3 Charts and Synergy data reporting and visualization programs.- Utilizing visual elements such as heat maps, spray charts and pitch sequences within the scouting reports.- Communicating and collaborating with the Marist Baseball coaching staff and our student volunteers over the course of the season to produce dozens of individualized player reports each week.

As a supervisor and quality assurance associate at the Marist Institute for Public Opinion, I supervise a team of 5-15 interviewers as they conduct nationwide surveys over the phone and collect data. I also ensure the quality of our work after each project. In this role, I use the Microsoft Suite to complete many organizational tasks. - I received the 2024 MIPO Recognition of Achievement Award, which recognizes and celebrates the achievements made by an undergraduate student while working with the Marist Institute for Public Opinion. - I have also conducted research in partnership with the Marist Poll to examine public opinion on using taxpayer funds to construct stadiums and arenas for sports franchises, culminating in the creation of a U.S. national survey of over 1,300 respondents.

As a Content Desk Intern with SportsNet New York (SNY), I gained real-world experience working in the New York sports media industry for one of the nation's largest regional sports networks. My experience included:- Using Avid Cloud UX to log live footage of press conferences, one-on-one player interviews and team practices of professional New York sports teams.- Processing live content on the content desk.- Communicating with field producers and cameramen in Slack to coordinate live content.- Setting up records for press conferences held over Zoom.- Updating the SNY Slack newsfeed- Shadowing the gameday field producing operations at a Jets-Eagles game.- Shadowing numerous departments, including the Content Desk, Editorial, Field Producers, Social Media, Graphics, the control room and Content Integration to learn how they operate.- Researching historical events in New York sports for "on this date" content.

I completed an internship for NJ State Senator Gopal, Assemblymembers Downey and Houghtaling. I utilized communication skills while ghostwriting op-eds, press releases, and official government letters, in addition to responding to local constituents' emails.
