After being an average school student, I was very unsure of what I wanted to do. At 19 I started out in my first business venture hoping that I might spark a passion, for which I did - business. I started SA Event Services, a small event hire company in Adelaide, which later branched out into Event Management and all of a sudden we weren't so small. We directly employed 25 staff who helped make this business the market leader for events under 500 people from 2013 - 2016. This is how I became passionate about helping our staff grow within the company to help them be the best that they could. I have always been a strong believer that your staff come first before anything else. In 2016 I had done all I thought I was capable of with this business and needed a fresh challenge, so I sold this business to an up and coming event company. In the meantime, I was also the Operations Manager for SA Crowd Barriers and Splashdown SA (both event-related) where I took a financial interest in the company and assisted all shareholders in a successful sale in March 2018.In 2015 I decided to test the waters of an area unfamiliar to me but a business I saw had huge potential to grow - which was part of the Blue Belle Group. This business was started as a joint venture and after six months I successfully bought out my Partner's share, where I became the sole Director. After operating for 12 months, we had grown to 4 FTE staff and 12 other casuals on our roster in Adelaide and grew a team of 3 covering various commercial offices and residential properties in Melbourne.At the end of 2017 I decided to chase a passion of mine and become involved in property, where I am now employed by Horner Management as the General Manager. I started at Horner Management as a Body Corporate Manager and progressed into the role as GM in 2019. We are a rapidly growing Body Corporate and Property Management agency, and also branched out into Building & Facilities Management in 2022.
