During my studies at Curtin University, I have undertaken roles as a student mentor, mentoring first year engineering students through their first semester. I have also been an academic tutor for two mathematical university units, sort out by the university due to my high achievement. Both these roles were to assist first year students to navigate their studies and their university experience. At the start of 2022 I was appointed as a student ambassador for Engineers Australia, in my second term as an Engineers Australia ambassador I was appointed as the Team Leader at Curtin. In this role I work in a team with other ambassadors to organise and run events at the Curtin campus. I work with Kym Spann (Student & Graduate Engagement Manager at Engineers Australia) frequently communicating via email about my progress and responsibilities as an ambassador. I am currently in the works with Pawel Podsiadlo (Course Coordinator for Industrial and Systems Engineering) in creating a student lead club for Industrial and Systems engineers at Curtin University. We are hoping to launch at the beginning of 2023. Through all these roles I have been able to develop and grow my collaborative team skills, communication and leadership. Going forward, I would like to continue to build upon these skill sets and many others by making the most of the opportunities I am presented with.
