Reporting to the Operations manager Luke is responsible for managing the functions of the Production, Materials & Logistics and Repairs teams, Luke has:-Delivered a successful 5S program targeting Waste Management, Quarantine Area, Equipment Maintenance, Safety and Space utilization in the Stores Area.-Consolidated domestic Freight Forwarders and 3PL.

Responsibilities included:-Identifying areas of weakness (cost, quality, delivery, risk) within the supply chain through structured evaluation systems and executing improvement programs-Liaising with company Owners / Directors to establish a platform for improvement activities.-Preparing and leading vertical group / jishuken style improvement activities at.

Responsiblities included:-Monitoring of the global supply chain to quickly understand any supply threat due to plant breakdown/disaster, political unrest, natural disaster, etc and manage countermeasures / report impacts with the global HQ in Japan.-Quick response and crisis management of local supply risks such as tool crash, stock outs, chronic quality.

Key position objectives:-Monitor, manage & control the New Model development programs of over half of the supplier base including resin, textile, EPP/EPS, steel & hydrographic component suppliers-Project manage new tool & process development to ensure 100% PPAP approval by Start of Volume Production (achieved)-Coordinate activity with customers and develop.

Heading up the 2012 New Model Camry project within the Materials and Logistics Groups Luke was responsible to provide technical knowledge, manage and support:-Development and set up of local trucking fleet runs, new OE packaging, internal and external kanban systems, shopfloor layout and logistics, and operational bills of materials.-Controlling the flow.

Control and improve all aspects of internal / external logistics including 3PL fleet, packaging, kanban systems, internal parts flow, supplier stock management, etc.In this position Luke made valuable contributions by:-Rebalancing 3PL fleet to reduce cost by +$1M over model life.-Reducing Stock levels to free up +$100K in cash and +100sqm in floor.

Participate as a member in a fully vertical team focussed on analysing problems and delivering countermeasures within the Materials and Logistics areas.Prepare and deliver presentations at monthly 'Jishuken' style events to other improvement teams and Senior Management.
