I was asked to represent the chapter as VP in March 2016, despite only being in BNI for 6 months. I greatly enjoyed the role and challenges it presented. However it has certainly made me a better networker and given me much insight as to how to utilise my network to improve the value I can present to my clients.

I started my career journey as a warranty officer at TECS, sending faulty goods back to suppliers. Early on, I also helped with stock control and computer assembly before I began to acquire some retail sales skills.It wasn’t long before I was doing system deliveries, setup and on-site technical support.18 months in, a relocation saw some staff movement and I found myself managing an entire retail store which gave me great management experience both of staff, the store and stock.… Show more I started my career journey as a warranty officer at TECS, sending faulty goods back to suppliers. Over the next 3 years, I was the go-to guy for all sorts of jobs. I spent 18 months managing my second store in Clayton where I lifted the sales figures by 20%. In 2002 I decided to go back to study and enrolled at Swinburne to complete my diploma in electronics. I was planning to do a degree in Telecommunications at Monash, but my customers from TECS kept following me and soon servicing their needs became my priority and my own business was born thanks to their support.
