In addition to working alongside a number of inspiring professionals I am responsible for the success and implementation of the BCLA’s business and strategic plan. This includes responsibility for driving development, delivering on the Association’s investment plan, increasing membership and delegate numbers and strengthening the position of the BCLA.During my time in post I am pleased to have overseen and delivered:- Increased reach and global thought leadership through a growing research activity- Improved and updated governance changes- A broader and more effective committee structure to support an ambitious work programme- A revised membership offer with more affordable payment options- New partnerships and collaborations- Increased sponsorship opportunities to fund a busy educational and research programme

Key stakeholder to shape direction and provide business development, sector insights and strategic support and advice to the MemberWise Network. I run MemberWise Jobs, our recruitment support services to candidates and employers. My focus is to nurture and harness talent within the membership and association sector.During my tenure at MemberWise I have:- launched and grown recruitment, candidate search and placement services through MemberWise Jobs- grown and developed new job advertising services, and achieved increased activity on an annual basis- launched a brand new jobs platform providing new services to the sector- quality assured and edited several key sector documents (including 'The Perfect Membership Scheme' and 'The Member Engagement Toolkit'- chaired and presented several streams/sessions at 'Digital Excellence' and 'Member Excellence'The Network has seen exceptional changes and continues to influence the wider membership and associations sector.

Led the design and delivery of professional learning courses to schools and at events for the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC), including accreditation courses specific to the curriculum and the International Leadership and Management Programme. I also manage the in-bound consultancy request from schools, to provide a high quality experience and dependable expertise from a consultancy base, provided and quality assured by Fieldwork Education.Key result areas inlcuded:- Planning, development and delivery of learning experiences and activities for a range of sector professionals and their schools (including leadership and management training programmes)- Delivery of a bi-annual International Curriculum Conferences- Effective management and use of CRM to shape learning programmes- Management of training resources including trainers, content, platforms etc- Delivery of customer service excellence through support services and booking procedures- Professional community development through learning experiences and effective stakeholder engagement- Quality assurance across all business activities to ensure high impact of products and services as well as excellent customer satisfaction

Led the development and delivery of CILIP’s workforce development strategy to ensure there are appropriate, relevant and timely career support products and services for information professionals. Significant outputs include:- shaped learning and CPD services which resulted in new content, expansion of online modules, new resources- development of new apprenticeship standard and end-point assessment across a range of sectors- managed changes which resulted in growth in professional registration (c. 45%) and implemented new regulations for assessments and portfolios- strategic leadership of accreditation of degree programmes, resulting in international growth- licensing and implementation of the Professional Knowledge and Skills Base (a competency/skills framework) for workforce development, CPD and learning support etc

As a member of the Management Board, I collaborated with fellow Directors to develop and implement strategy and organisational growth. Part of these responsibilities included overseeing the development of new standards for the profession as well as implementing a comprehensive and straight-forward process for registration.Other responsibilities included:- Financial and audit accountability- Business planning and operational oversight- Representation at events and member/professional engagementFEDIP is a registration body for those practising within or closely linked to health and social care informatics. The Federation brings together a number of professional bodies to support those informatics practitioners by professionalising these important roles and fostering a community of like-minded individuals.

Overseeing membership engagement, services, development and strategy. The membership of the RCOG are key to delivering services to women's health throughout the UK and internationally. As a charity and membership organisation, the Fellows and Members of the RCOG are a key focus for the organisation. Ensuring engagement and services are at optimum is essential to creating a satisfying profession, but more importantly ensures that our membership are able to do their jobs. This is achieved through adopting a transparent and engaging relationship between the College and its membership. The success of this is dependent on implementation of an inclusive strategy and working closely with peer staff and members of the RCOG Senior Management Group to ensure that high levels of leadership are delivered throughout the organisation.

Management of the membership team and ensuring that services to the membership are fit-for-purpose. Regularly reviewing aspects of corporate policy in terms of College rules and regulations.

Team leadership and telecommunications expertise. Setting up and running central communications hubs for processing information. Management and administration of equipment.
